It is a sunny evening up on Montjuic at the Olympic Stadium. After a hectic last session yesterday, the pace is a little more Spanish like tonight.
Just getting underway at the far end of the stadium from me is the Men’s Pole Vault final and down below me the girls in the second pool for the Heptathlon Javelin are warming up.
Our photographer Nick Guise-Smith is down there with them intent on getting us close to the action, whilst trying not to end up skewerd like a kebab!

On the track later, we have the Women’s 100m Hurdles semis and final. The Men’s 800m final, featuring two Spanish runners (and lots of noise) is at 19.35 local time.
We follow that with the Men’s 400m Hurdles final, the two 800m Heptathlon heats and to round us off the Men’s 5000m final, with three Spanish chaps!!! Olé!
